Alani Nu was founded in 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky by fitness trainer Katy Hearn Schneider and her husband Haydn, built around a gap they saw clearly: most supplement brands weren't designed with women in mind, not the formulas, not the flavors, not the marketing. The brand's 2019 move into energy drinks became its biggest growth driver, and in April 2025 it was acquired by Celsius Holdings for $1.8 billion.
